Hollywood HelpX Week

I arrived to my first HelpX.net hosts home in Hollywood. They provided me with a great room, meals and, of course, projects! The room is cozy, quiet and suits my needs perfectly. The meals are gourmet, delicious and plentiful. 

They asked me to perform some yard work. After showing the full list of projects, I asked them to prioritize the first project - remove all of the overgrown Flame Brushes.

Here is the corner without the bushes. I took 2 days to remove, cut and dispose of the debris.

We will plant with smaller, dwarf Flame Bushes and Lantanas tomorrow -Wednesday.

I thoroughly enjoyed my very first HelpX experience with fantastic and excellent hosts. They communicated thoroughly before and during my stay. They ensured that I had everything that I needed to be comfortable in their home. I embraced and appreciated the list of outdoor projects provided to me!! I genuinely looked forward to the work every day!! And Wow…. I looked forward to the caringly prepared Delicious, Gourmet meals. In addition to working and eating, I liked our visits, conversations and relaxing together. The hosts made me feel at home with their family. I am looking forward to our paths crossing again.
